Water and pH 7

Talking about pH and the significance of water in
conjunction with our health. Pure water should register as a pH 7 in order to be neutral.

Follow up points~ Why is water (at a pH 7) so vital to the health of
our body?

Water is the single most important nutrient for our bodies and is
considered a "miracle cure" for many health conditions. It is involved
in every function of our bodies. Your body loses about two quarts of
water a day through perspiration, urination, and exhalation. If you
wait until you are thirsty to drink water, then you are most likely
already dehydrated.

Dehydration robs from certain areas of the body to keep the brain,
heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys well hydrated. Many symptoms of
disease are the first sign of the body needing adequate amounts of
water. Some symptoms of inadequate amounts of water intake may include
headaches, back pain, joint pain, dry skin, allergies, heartburn,
constipation, and memory loss.

Brain cells are mainly water (about 85%) therefore, water is a vital
nutrient to maintain your brain and memory. Your brain is always
active, even during sleep, so your brain needs to be well hydrated. It
is also known as a powerful nutrient which slows the aging process,
even more effective than all the anti-aging creams.

Water makes up about 60% of the body's total composition!

Some of the benefits to adequate water intake are cleansing, energy
production, and nutrient transport. Dehydration to the body can bring
with it great consequences. One of the first signs is fatigue.
Dehydration can be detected in the blood, saliva and urine.

Most people will say I get plenty of water or beverages and I am not
dehydrated because I don't feel bad. However, if you wait until you
feel bad then problems are already started and if you maintain this
consistently you will begin to believe this is a normal way to feel.

Some have the question about how to time your water intake and
here is a simple method to create a good habit:

The goal is to drink at least (6) 8oz glasses of water daily. Another
simple formula is (body weight divided by 2 = amount of water intake)

If you feel you may be dehydrated to some degree then try this:

Drink 4 ounces of water every hour on the hour while you are awake.
It is recommended to do this for at least 3 days straight and see if
you feel the difference, then continue!

So what if you drink a lot of beverages, isn't that sufficient?

No, most beverages contain dehydrating agents like acids, caffeine, or
alcohol. This is true for coffee, sodas, beer and wine. None of which
can count as water intake.

Oh, so much more I could share but, no need to bore you!

To wrap it all back up, keeping our body at a pH of 7 (neutral) with
adequate water intake then our body should remain close to neutral
which is a healthy state.
