Fitness is more than a little exercise occasionally. Fitness is really all about your lifestyle. Here is an acronym I made in order to explain my take on this concept: 'FITNESS'
Faith
Instruction
Time management
Nutrition
Exercise
Sleep
Stress relief
Faith, so why is that important? Well, simply put, I believe we need to know who we are and how we are created in order to understand how to live a lifestyle of all-around fitness. I also believe it is key to finding the direction, in which will promote true goodness in our life. We are created with a mind, body, soul and spirit and each of these areas need to be address. I choose to address the health of the spirit 1st. That is why faith is greatly important in my opinion, it acts as the guide to all other things. (more to come)
Instruction, what do I mean by that? Well, this covers where we seek our information to do what we do and believe what we believe about what is right and wrong for us. In the practical way of applying this to fitness would be how we go about learning: faith, technique, form, nutrition, methods, ect. (more to come)
Time management, what does this have to do with fitness? A lot! Without first having the desire and then the proper time management with discipline, a fitness lifestyle will not happen. I know this to be true based on my own experiences. (more to come)
Nutrition, doesn't everyone know about this? Not necessarily, many of us have been taught about the basic food groups, but knowledge doesn't guarantee results. The interesting thing to me is, how many opinions there are about proper nutrition & much of which are called diets. (more to come)
Exercise, ok isn't that really physical torture? It shouldn't be! While exercise used to be a part of everyday living for the majority, it has now become a secondary option. (more to come)
Sleep, doesn't everyone already do this naturally? Yes, but the question truly becomes is it quality sleep and rest. (more to come)
Stress relief, is there really such a thing in the world we live in? Absolutely! There are many ways to obtain the proper stress relief throughout life's daily, weekly and monthly struggles. (more to come)
